| Stephen is the CEO of The Rainmaker Institute, the nation's largest law firm marketing company specializing in lead conversion for small law firms and solo practitioners. Over 8,000 attorneys nationwide have benefited from learning and implementing the proven marketing and lead conversion strategies taught by The Rainmaker Institute, LLC.
He works exclusively with attorneys and partners at small and solo law firms to find new clients fast using online and offline legal marketing strategies and to convert more prospects into paying clients using automated marketing and by fixing their follow up systems. Stephen is a nationally recognized law firm marketing expert and the international best-selling author of 12 books and 7 audio and video training programs including: He is a Registered Corporate Coach (RCC) through the Worldwide Association of Business Coaches, has a Master’s degree in Counseling and a second Master’s in Clinical Psychology. Stephen’s doctoral training is from Wheaton College (IL) in Clinical Psychology and he practiced as a therapist for several years in Virginia and Chicago. After leaving the field of clinical psychology Stephen founded and ran two technology companies, one in the restaurant industry and another in the health sciences field prior to launching Today's Leadership Coaching, LLC, a Chicago-based professional business coaching and consulting firm.Through Today’s Leadership Coaching, LLC Stephen led a team of experienced business consultants and psychologists as they worked with over a dozen Fortune 500 companies, but primarily small to mid-sized, privately held businesses in the Chicagoland area. The focus of their consulting was on leadership development, high impact team building, and management training. Periodically, the team would be asked by smaller clients to consult on business development and marketing related issues. Stephen found he enjoyed the marketing aspect of consulting more than the leadership development. As a result, he spent time developing his philosophy of relationship-based marketing and how to apply this in a professional service-based company. He encapsulated in his first book, Practice Made Perfect for Small Business Owners (© 2001), which he wrote in 7 days without notes while on a cruise ship in the middle of the Caribbean. It was shortly afterwards that he was asked by a major New York publishing company, John Wiley & Sons to write one of the very first professional books on the newly forming field of professional business coaching. He researched and wrote his second book in six months and when Getting Started in Personal and Executive Coaching was published in 2003 it quickly achieved international best-selling status in 4 different countries: the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia. The very next year, Stephen was named "America's Top Marketing Coach" by CoachVille, the world's largest professional coaching association and given their top “professional coaching” industry award. He spent the next few years flying around the country speaking to industry groups, companies, and trade associations on business coaching and marketing. He soon realized his true passion was in working with small, privately held, professional service-based companies. While living in Chicago he had the honor to speak to sell-out crowds of attorneys first at the State Bar of Wisconsin, followed by the Illinois State Bar, then the prestigious New York State Bar at their annual convention.
Since that time, Stephen has spoken numerous times for over 30 of the largest state and local bar associations in the country including: the State Bars of California, New York, Illinois, New Jersey, Indiana, Michigan, Colorado, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Arizona, Nebraska, New Mexico, the Los Angeles County Bar, Essex County Bar, Monmouth County Bar, Hackensack County Bar, the Washington DC Bar, Texas Young Lawyers Association, Orange County (FL) Bar, the Bay Area Lawyers for Individual Freedom, the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego, the National Association of Consumer Attorneys, and the San Diego County Bar, to name a few.

The Rainmaker Institute, LLC grew directly out of his experiences first speaking to, then coaching, consulting with, and training attorneys. Since that first event at the State Bar of Wisconsin, Stephen has worked with over 8,000 attorneys from virtually every state in the country and almost every practice area. Stephen’s work has been noted and quoted in the American Bar Association’s Journal, Entrepreneur, Inc., Fortune Small Business, Harvard Management Update, Business Advisor, the Chicago Tribune, Crain's Chicago Business, and on the front covers of AdvantEdge and Choice magazines. He is a member of the prestigious National Speaker's Association and his Rainmaker seminars are sponsored several times every year by some of the largest state and local bar associations in the country. Maria Terberg serves as Stephen Fairley’s Executive Assistant at The Rainmaker Institute. She is in charge of coordinating all company events, including Rainmaker Retreats, Stephen’s extensive speaking engagements, the Phoenix Legal Networking Group and team meetings.
Maria graduated for California State University Fullerton with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business. Her past career experiences include, foreign exchange currency sales and retail management. She has also worked as a Major Account Executive for Pitney Bowes in outside sales for over 11 years. Maria resides in Gilbert, Arizona with her husband and two children. |

Mark Agen is the Director of Sales for the Rainmaker Institute. Mark is a integral part of the TRI team bringing with him an in-depth background across multiple industries in Business Development, Business-to-Business Sales, Sales Management, Branch Management and Major Accounts Management. Prior to joining TRI, Mark earned numerous awards for his sales activities while directly contributing to the profitability for his employers, including JP Morgan Chase, Hall-Mark Computer Components (Avnet), Insight and SunBank.
As Director of Sales at TRI, Mark is responsible for developing systems to reach and educate new and existing attorneys on the products offered by The Rainmaker Institute. He also works with his sales team to insure that all TRI clients have a thorough understanding of the opportunities available to increase the revenue stream in their practice.
Mark is a native of New York State. He arrived in Arizona by way of a road trip to Tucson, Arizona 19 years ago where he met his wife and decided to stay. Mark and his wife, Audra, now live in Queen Creek, Arizona with their two children, their Great Dane and Golden Retriever. |

Leslie Ealy brings to The Rainmaker Institute, a comprehensive background in project management, training and development for Fortune 500 companies.
Her project management experience includes the management of internal infrastructure projects as well as large and small systems development. She has overseen the creation of Process Maps, Point of Service and Inventory Control Systems, Government Certifications and Statements of Work. She also created Train-the-Trainer programs and manuals for new and existing project managers.
Leslie has a wealth of experience with Train-the-Trainer programs and has been involved in creating those programs company wide with the development and implementation of training programs and manuals. Additionally, she has trained managers on active listening skills, advanced brainstorming and role playing processes as well as courses in MS Office, MS Project, Timeline, and various other email and proprietary systems.
At The Rainmaker Institute, Leslie serves as the Director of Client Services. She has direct, daily interface with her clients, helping drive projects to completion, assisting clients with the prioritization of projects, maintaining time frames, and measuring outcomes and results. Clients know Leslie is extremely reliable, offering them the excellent follow-through and task-orientation necessary of a great project manager.
Leslie moved to Phoenix from the Midwest 9 years ago. Although she remains an avid Badger and Packer fan, returning to the cold holds no interest for her! Her motto is “Give me 110 degrees any day!” Leslie and her husband have three children and a Goldendoodle named Snickers! |

Kelly Woodward is the Director of Marketing for The Rainmaker Institute. She brings an extensive background in high level marketing, strategic planning, and project management to the Institute.
Prior to joining our team, Kelly was the Associate Director of Athletics at Northern Arizona University, an NCAA Division I athletic program. She coordinated and oversaw multiple projects including the development and implementation of comprehensive marketing plans for over 50 major university events each year. She was responsible for marketing and promotions for all 50 events every year, was charged with increasing season ticket holders, and the development of all promotional and marketing materials.
During her fifteen year tenure at the university, she was selected by the university presidents of the Big Sky Conference for the prestigious honor of representing the entire conference regarding all voting matters at the national level on the NCAA Division I Management Council from 1997-2002.
Kelly also served in the Undergraduate Admissions area where she planned, managed and executed dozens of small and large scale recruitment events every year.
She holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from Northern Arizona University. Kelly and her husband, Ralph, live in Arizona and have two sons. She enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, working out and is a voracious reader.
At The Rainmaker Institute, Kelly oversees the entire marketing and promotions for all live Rainmaker Retreat events, all webinars and teleseminars, our monthly e-Newsletter, and all communication the Institute has with prospects, clients, bar associations, and referral partners. Since joining us she has developed an expertise in developing systems for our clients and has been instrumental in the creation of our Rainmaker Follow-Up System. |

Nancy is a Project Manager for The Rainmaker Institute. She communicates with clients on a daily basis moving projects forward to completion, delivering monthly social media statistics to clients, maintaining and prioritizing deliverables.
Previously, Nancy worked for a large public school district as a financial trainer and later as an educator. During her twelve years with the district she trained administrative and classified staff on the financial system either individually or in a classroom setting, created financial training manuals, developed and maintained twelve financial websites, and managed a classroom of young children.
Nancy moved to Phoenix from North Dakota 16 years ago. She absolutely loves the hot sunny weather of Arizona and has no desire to ever shovel snow again. Nancy is married to a wonderful husband; together they have three boys, two dogs, and a cat. |

David Simon is The Marketing Communications Manager for the Rainmaker Institute. In this position, he is charged with developing TRI’s marketing communications activities. This responsibility involves the development and copywriting of materials that communicate consistent messages across print and electronic media.
David brings a 20 year background in sales, marketing, and direct response copywriting to TRI, and has worked with numerous information marketing companies as a consultant and marketing strategist. Prior to coming to TRI, David worked with Whitehall Management, a practice development and marketing company for dentists and chiropractors in Scottsdale, Arizona. He is in high demand as a copywriter, with a talent for emotional direct response copy which results in increased sales and attendance at seminars and events.
David holds a BA in psychology from West Chester University in West Chester Pennsylvania, but has lived in the western United States for the past 20 years. He is the proud parent of two teenage girls and enjoys reading and outdoor activities in Arizona where he has lived for 15 years. He also enjoys computers and technology and sees the internet and email marketing as the biggest advancement in the ability to communicate with customers and clients and grow a business. |

John is one of our Rainmaker Advisors responsible for client contact and the development and implementation of effective client marketing strategies.
John has an extensive and varied background in management and telecommunications. For three years he was a Senior Account Executive for the education division of Platinum Technologies before starting a 10 year stint with one of the world’s largest IPO Outsourced Call Center companies, Etelecare.
As a Project Manager and Client Manager with Etelecare, John was the main point of contact for several Fortune 100 clients and managed day to day operations of 50+ seat call center outsource projects. In January 2006, John was named U.S. Recruitment Manager for Etelecare and was responsible for the successful recruitment of over 8,000 call center agents per year in call centers across the US.
John is a Native of Mineola, New York. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications from Emerson College in Boston, MA. Several years later, he moved to the Phoenix area and currently lives in Gilbert, AZ. |

Kenny is one of The Rainmaker Institute’s advisors, responsible for client contact and the development and implementation of effective client marketing strategies.
Kenny comes to TRI with vast work experience with several large national corporations including a top 5 multi-national accounting firm and a major national airline, where he worked in audit, financial analysis, and Information Technology. He has also worked as a corporate trainer and takes pride in helping clients grasp and learn new concepts and technologies.
Kenny’s background also includes small business ownership and management. As a business owner, he was directly involved in all aspects of running and managing a small business including marketing, advertising, sales, administration, financial analysis, and reporting.
His experience gives him a keen awareness of the critical importance of an effective and consistent business marketing plan. He enjoys keeping abreast of ever-evolving online technologies and social media outlets, believing they will continue to provide additional leverage and strategies for his customers.
Kenny is from a small town in extreme west Texas. He has earned a Bachelor of Science. degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University and now resides in the Phoenix area. Jennifer Dale is a Marketing Assistant with the Rainmaker Institute. She handles the scheduling and arranging of weekly teleseminars, the set-up and maintenance of all e-commerce related tasks, and assists with the implementation of the overall marketing plan. Since joining us, Jennifer has become skilled in systems development including Infusionsoft set-up, implementation and maintenance.
Prior to working with the Rainmaker Institute, she worked for 3 years as a Personal Assistant in a Law Firm. In that position, she was involved in marketing, client relations, and the daily organization of a solo practitioner law firm. For the past 3 years, she has also managed event marketing, membership, and website maintenance for a Professional Coaching Association.
Jennifer has supported her community by serving on the Whittier Elementary PTO Board for 4 years, including 2 terms as President. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from Weber State University. She has 4 children, and if she has free time, enjoys reading and watching sport. |

Before joining TRI’s team Abigail was a Marketing Coordinator for The Trane Company, Inc and a Scottsdale based clinical drug research company. In these roles, she oversaw all marketing campaigns, which included: print, radio and television advertising. Her background also includes event planning and training. Abigail recently relocated to northern California and enjoys traveling, hiking and reading. |

Sara Sise comes to The Rainmaker Institute with a professional background in sales and marketing. Her current role as Marketing Assistant involves scheduling and designing email campaigns, managing databases, completing communication audits and working with TRI’s Infusionsoft system.
She holds an undergraduate Business degree in Marketing from Arizona State University and a Masters of Arts degree in Information Resources and Library Science from University of Arizona. Sara has worked in the healthcare and technology industries, for small start-up companies as well as several Fortune 500 companies. In these rolls she has overseen marketing and sales campaigns, developed and directed multi-media communication to target audiences, managed client relations, tracked and managed sales data, trained personnel, created and planned company events and developed expertise in research and information resources. She is known for her strong interpersonal and organizational skills and her keen ability to uncover and solve customer concerns.
Sara has served as a Board Member on several national and local non-profit organizations and is an avid volunteer. She now resides in Chandler, Arizona with her husband and two sons. During down-time Sara can be found reading, traveling, and enjoying long walks with her lovable Lab, Gus. |

Tracy graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. She has been in the Hospitality Industry with Marriott International for 13 years filling positions in Front Office Management, Hotel Operations and Front Desk Personnel Management, Bellstand and Switchboard Operations.
The majority of Tracy’s career has been as a Senior Event Manager overseeing Corporate, Association and Social events.
Tracy currently resides in Edmond, Oklahoma with her husband and two children. She loves spending time playing sports and Wii with her family and during the rare quiet moments she loves to read. |

Jenna Ramsey is the E-zine Specialist for The Rainmaker Institute. She brings skills, talents and experience gained from her 12 years of Customer Service, Administrative/Executive and Marketing Experience.
Prior to joining The Rainmaker Institute Jenna worked in the Sales and Merchandising Department for SkyMall Inc, the Inflight Magazine. She helped set up many of the processes SkyMall is still using today and she continues to support them through the creation of new Email Marketing campaigns. She is also the founder and owner of Creative Administrative Solutions, LLC. She started her company in 2005, after witnessing the need for "Virtual Assistance" among Attorneys and small business owners. In 2006, she noticed a demand for E-mail Marketing among her clients and began to provide this service. Since then, she has worked with Attorneys and clients, across the United States to develop highly effective customized electronic newsletters.

Lynda Collins is an accomplished marketing communications and public relations professional who currently serves as Senior Copywriter for The Rainmaker Institute. Her job is to provide cutting-edge, professional content for blogs, websites, newsletters, press releases, and other client communiqués.
Previously, Lynda was Director of Public Relations for Winnercomm, Inc., America’s largest independent sports production company that produces over 1,000 hours of programming annually for ESPN and 13 other television networks. At Winnercomm, she was responsible for public relations, media relations, event management and implementation, news writing and web site content development for Winnercomm-owned sports television properties for ESPN, including People vs. the Pros and the Trump Million Dollar Invitational, two made-for-TV golf events, as well as the Dodge Xtreme Bulls Tour. In addition, she handled PR and media relations for company subsidiary Skycam, as well as PR projects for several of Winnercomm’s clients.
Lynda previously served as Executive Vice President of Ackerman McQueen, one of the largest independent advertising agencies in the U.S., where she was responsible for managing the agency’s marketing relationships with two Fortune 500 companies. She directed PR activities for the agency and its clients, including publicity, media relations, and special events management, and also served as senior management supervisor for AM-Interactive, providing content development and project leadership for client web sites including: Six Flags, Oklahoma Tourism, SPX Dock Products, Brunswick and more.
Additionally, from 2000-2002, she served as President of TrueNews, an Ackerman McQueen subsidiary responsible for developing and producing live news content on the Web for leading energy brands. |

He also garners an accomplished background in graphic and website design, which combined with his writing expertise and compelling communication style has given him a singular edge in developing successful marketing projects as a private consultant.

Laura Archambeault brings both legal and writing experience to The Rainmaker Institute. Although Laura is a licensed Massachusetts attorney, she prefers writing and editing to litigation.
Upon graduating from Suffolk University Law School, Laura worked for Johnson & Aceto, LLP, a boutique litigation firm in Boston, where she honed her legal skills in a wide range of practice areas ranging from family law to patent law. Thereafter, she served as an Assistant City Solicitor for the City of Worcester where she provided legal counsel to the city manger, city council, and various city boards and commissions.
While working as an attorney, Laura fostered her love of writing through freelance business and legal editing. She ultimately decided to follow her passion by starting an online writing, editing, and proofreading service. Laura now happily devotes all of her time to writing and editing. In addition to her work at The Rainmaker Institute, Laura has also authored several best practice articles on academic and legal writing.
Laura lives outside of Boston, Massachusetts with her husband and two cats. Like most New Englanders, she is a diehard Red Sox fan. |

Christine graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison on the dean’s list with a degree in Secondary Education. She attended the University of St. Thomas School of Law in Minneapolis on a dean’s scholarship. Before attending law school, Christine spent 15 years teaching writing and communication. She has published hundreds of articles on various legal topics. Her passion for writing and empowering people to understand complex legal issues is her greatest asset. |

Laura Holbrook is a copywriter for The Rainmaker Institute and a licensed Oklahoma attorney who has experience in bankruptcy, litigation, collections, real estate transactions and foreclosures. Laura attended Oklahoma City University Law School on a Hatton Sumners full-ride scholarship. After graduating, she began working for Conner & Winters law firm where she ultimately became a partner in the firm. In 2008, Laura decided to take a “sabbatical” from the practice of law to raise her two young boys and to explore other opportunities within the legal field, which ultimately led her to TRI.
Laura graduated college from Oklahoma State University and she is an avid OSU fan! Laura also loves sports, going to the lake and just about any other outdoor activity. She lives in Edmond, Oklahoma, with her husband and two sons. |

She coordinates and manages the process of helping our clients attract additional, high-quality referrals by assisting them in connecting with potential referral sources in their local area.
She is a true multi-tasker who is an expert at managing multiple projects simultaneously. As a former business owner and manager she values the importance of developing professional relationships in one’s business community. She has developed a savvy in customer relations that she shares with her TRI clients and everyone she meets.
Shelley is active in her own community, participating in Community Theater and has a strong passion for passive solar home design and animal rescue. |
